Your panels make the power you already paid for — as long as they’re clean. The Solar Care Plan puts your home on our route twice a year, so it never becomes one more thing you have to remember.

Why twice a year?

• Our dry season runs six months — about 1 inch of rain from May through October. UC researchers measured 186 California systems: dirt costs about 0.05% of power every dry day it sits there, so a typical system ends the season about 9% down.
• Rain leaves the worst behind: pollen film, bird droppings, the grime band that builds along the bottom edge of every panel, and the living film of algae that grows in shady, foggy spots. Those have to be brushed off by hand.
• A little dirt in the wrong place costs the most. In a measured test, grime covering just half of one percent of a panel cut that panel’s power by 9%.
• The panel makers say the same thing. Panasonic’s own guidance is to wash panels twice a year.

How it works

• We clean your panels twice a year, about six months apart.
• You choose the dates. We confirm the week before, and we handle the rest.
• Every visit includes a full panel cleaning with purified water, a visual check of your panels and mounting, a pigeon and critter check, and a photo report sent to you the same day.
• Your home’s service history stays on file with us — every visit, every photo — and plan homes get priority scheduling for anything else.

The fine print, in plain words

• This is a one-year service agreement. Cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice. No cancellation fee. Nothing else owed, ever.
• Extra work — gutter cleaning, pigeon proofing, windows — is quoted separately, only if you ask. Nothing is ever added without your say-so.
• You don’t need to be home. We just need roof access, and you’ll have your photo report the same day.
